Weald and Downland Museum

Wattle & Daub building, shelter constructing and all manner of historic buildings awaited us at the Weald & Downland Museum, which Year 5 visited this week.

In glorious autumn sunshine, we explored houses dating from Saxon to Victorian times and thought about how lifestyles have changed and stayed the same. We visited the working water mill that was grinding to make flour, we went on a foraging walk to find edible woodland plants, and we saw where The Repair Shop is filmed!

Thank-you so much to the parents who were able to join us on a tiring but exciting day!
