Waitrose Green Token Scheme

We are thrilled to announce that we received the highest number of votes in the Waitrose Green Token Scheme, securing £1,500 to fund our growing area.  Mrs Coates and some of our pupils were delighted to collect the cheque on behalf of the school. We’ve wasted no time putting the funds to work! We have already invested in two new greenhouses and a fresh supply of compost. While our clever onsite composting system—using the children’s fruit and veg peelings from snack time—is going well, it takes 3–4 months to be ready, so this extra boost is exactly what we needed to get planting right away.  There are already some leeks and potatoes growing the beds!
