Victorian Day

Year 1 had a very busy day on Victorian Day!

They were put to work shining the brass and silver, beating the rugs, polishing the boots and helping Cook in the kitchen make cucumber sandwiches and jam scones for the lady of the house. 

They looked at some artefacts and learned about some inventions from Victorian times. They found out how school was different back then as well as many facts about Queen Victoria, before going on to sketch Her Majesty. 

They earned a penny for their hard work and ate the ‘leftovers’ from afternoon tea. 

They all looked fabulous and enjoyed their jam-packed day!
