Stone Age Day Year 3
Leopards and Tigers had a workshop day today, building on the work they have been doing in school this term. The children dressed up and so did the teachers! They found out about the different eras of the period we call ‘Stone Age’ and how clothing varied in these different eras. The children also examined artefacts, looking for clues as to who they might have belonged to and what they would have been used for and identified animals from their skulls and skin. They also experienced a safe demonstration of fire lighting using the Stone Age ‘friction’ technique outdoors along with 'shooting the bow', a unique demonstration, shooting our Stone Age bow in controlled conditions for height, using safety specialist arrows.
