Royal Pavilion Visit
Year 2 had a fantastic day on our visit to Brighton Pavilion and the Volk’s Railway. The day started with a talk from Lady Beatrice Buzzby of Burlington, Berkshire who told us what it was like to live in the time of King George IV. We then had a chance to explore the Pavilion and found out lots of fascinating facts; for example, did you know that the dome in the music room is made of 26,000 gold shell shapes? Once we had recharged our batteries with lunch in the Pavilion gardens, we had a ride on the Volk’s Railway and an opportunity to enjoy the sunshine at Peter Pan Playground. The children had a great day and were a credit to the school.
