AldringtonRoman Battle !
Boudicca arrived on the battle scene with a huge army of Iceni warriors. The Roman army displayed their amazing marching skills, taunted the Iceni tribe with their battle chants and attacked. The Iceni tribe battled heroically, but in the end Boudicca had to admit defeat.
Our Year 3 children had trained enthusiastically for the past couple of weeks in readiness for this battle. They were incredibly excited about taking on their parents and, going by their passionate attack, the feeling was mutual. They were having so much fun, that many Iceni forgot we were sticking to the historical conclusion and tried to avoid death and defeat! However, the Roman soldiers were not to have this victory taken from them!!! Roma Victrix!
A battle that will be remembered for years to come.
