Reception Easter Breakfast

What a wonderful array of Easter bonnets were on display at the Reception Easter Breakfast!  The children sang joyfully and enjoyed their snacks from home as well as sampling some hot cross buns. We thought together about how the cross not only reminds us that Jesus died for us but goes 'up and down' to remind us that Jesus loves us and came down from heaven to be with us and 'across' to remind us that Jesus wants us to love and care for other people. The children heard about the monk who shared the first hot cross buns with those who would otherwise have gone hungry at Eastertime. That was around 700 years ago and hot cross buns have been enjoyed ever since!
