Police Visit - Year 1

On Monday we had a visit from the Police with a police vehicle too. The children loved learning about how the Police don't just catch burglars, but they help to keep us safe too. We even got to sit in the car! 

Some quotes from the children - "I sat in the front seat, touched the steering wheel and saw the lights go off!"

"They have these see through tubes to put evidence in for the courts"

"I got to sit in the back of the police car where the bad guys usually sit (but I'm not one) and there is a cage in the boot for if there are any bad guy animals!!"

One child came home and showed Mum a leaflet and mentioned the number to call if disturbed by bad guys. Another said that there were police at school today but not to worry as they didn't arrest anyone!
