NGM Update

Dear Aldrington friends

 For two years you gave incredible support to New Growth Ministries in Zimbabwe. Thanks to you, our children have continued after-school teaching in maths and English. You may also remember the 5 Ps of Project Borehole: providing a water Pump, Piping, Power, Protection and a place to Put the water. We are delighted to tell you that Project Borehole was completed a few months ago. The magnificent sum of nearly £3000, that you raised, paid for a new water tank and brick tower to put it on. The trustees, staff and some of the children held a small service to commission and give thanks to God for the water tank and all of you. They are soooo grateful to all of you for your kindness and generosity. The photos show the tank and there is a plaque on it, saying that you gave it. So if anyone ever goes to Zimbabwe you can see it! We are so grateful for your prayers for rain too. The rainfall has improved this year and the new pump, solar panelling and batteries mean that we can pump water slowly all 24 hours a day. We thank God for all of you and his generosity.

 We are holding a Barn Dance at Bishop Hannington Church on Friday 15^th May. Doors open at 6.15, dancing starts at 6.30pm! Tickets are free and soft drinks and snacks are provided, but you are welcome to bring a bottle of wine if you would like! We would love to see you for this special party, even if just for one dance! Just turn up on the night or contact the BH office for more information.
