Lifesaving Course on Brighton Beach
On Monday and Tuesday, Year 6 attended a lifesaving day with Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club. The children identified dangers to watch out for on the beach before playing some beach-friendly games. After lunch, every child swam in the sea and learnt to use a life-saving board. As one child commented 'that day was great fun and I learnt a lot too'. The whole day was very relevant to any child, or adult living in Brighton and it found the right balance between learning and having fun at the beach with friends. The hot weather and calm sea helped too!
