Chicken meatballs, succulent cucumber tzatziki sauce, fresh Greek salad - the aromas from the Year 5 Greek Banquet encircled the classrooms all day.

Children came to school wearing fabulous costumes as Greek warriors, deities and nobles. We were bowled over by the quality and variety of costumes - what a wonderful addition to our day!

As part of DT unit on food preparation, children were responsible for safley slicing all the vegetables and preparing the feast for the afternoon.

Thank-you especially to Paraskevi Vougessi and Andreas Vlachidis who demonstrated techniques, cooked the food, and shared in the feast in the afternoon. We are very grateful for the wonderful Greek-flavour you brought to our day!
