Girls' Football Team in Tournament

Aldrington girls made a fabulous start winning their first match 5-0 with a stunning hatrick of goals from Emi. Despite sound outstanding attacking play from Sophie and OJ, Aldrington could secure no more than a 1-0 victory in their next match.

In a testy third match, Claudia scored a fantastic goal to secure a 1-1 draw against St Margaret's. We topped our group and were into a new champion's group to compete for the trophy!

First up was St Christopher's who brought out the best of Eliza's and Sophie's defensive link-up play. Despite being much the better team, we were unable to get past their goalkeeper.

In our match against Balfour, brilliant defensive play from Ida and Maddi couldn't stop a sneaky goal getting past our phenomenal goalkeeper, Lucie. Brilliant on the wings was Poppy who was always ready with a cross into the centre.

Our final match was against the unbeaten St Nicholas. A great team but Aldrington held them to a draw! Great in defence from Evie and especially impressive midfield tactics from star player Isla rounded off fabulous tournament.

St Nicholas went on to win the trophy but we were the only team they didn't beat

What a magnificent debut from our new girls' football team. They put in a really big effort and we're pleased with how we finished. If they carry on with such skill and teamwork, nothing can stand before them this year!
