Fishbourne Roman Palace Trip
Year 3 had a really enjoyable day at Fishbourne Roman Palace, seeing and experiencing many aspects of Roman life. We learnt the incredible story of how Fishbourne was discovered in the 1960s. We were able to see the many treasures and artefacts that archaeologists uncovered there and walk amongst the incredible mosaic floors.
In our workshop, we experienced what it was like to cook in a Roman kitchen, write in the way Romans would have done, build mosaics, play games the Romans would have played and watch how a Roman prince and princess would have been dressed.
We are very grateful to the parent contributions and volunteers who made this trip possible, thank you!
