Carroty Wood 2025 Day 2

It was another day of sunshine for Year 6. Everyone was up in good time, ready for the day ahead and all the activities on offer. Some had slept better than others (including staff!) as everyone adjusted to a new place and being away from home.

The group started the day with a surprise birthday party for Mr Burnill and an arts and craft session before heading to their first activities. The adults have been so impressed with the resilience the children are showing and the encouragement they are giving to each other; they will be coming home with many stories of overcoming fears and achieving more than they thought possible! In giving her update, Miss Kenward said, "I have had so many proud moments!" She reported that the children were out in the sunshine playing sports before dinner and swimming.

Mr Brooks went up to join the children after school and watched Mr Long helping one of the children to ride a bicycle for the first time to undertake the BMX course through the trees. He has taken more photos to add to today's gallery.
