Carroty Wood 2025 Day 1
A sunny start to the week set a cheerful tone for Year 6, who were full of excitement and ready for their residential trip to Carroty Wood.
Taking charge of their cases and in their 'Class of 26’ hoodies, they bid goodbye to their families and went over to Blatchington Mill to board two comfortable coaches ready for the journey.
The journey was smooth and the coach drivers helpful and friendly. Before too long, everyone had arrived safely at Carroty Wood and excitedly explored the lodges and found their dormitories. By 1.00pm, everyone had had lunch and was ready for their first activity.
The four groups started with Abseiling, BMX, High Ropes and Rafting and the weather remained dry, even though some of the children did not, as you will see from photos below! The children will rotate around these activities as the week goes on.
All this activity enabled the children to build up a good appetite for supper. We hope and pray that the lovely weather will continue throughout the week and look forward to sharing more news with you as it comes in.
