Carroty Wood 2024 Day 4

The final day dawned and, with it, the prospect of returning home. But first, there was packing to be done, dorms to be tidied and lodges to be left spick and span. Once these jobs were done, there was time to visit the tuck shop and play games together before lunch.

The journey home was smooth, and the children safely back before the end of the school day to be welcomed by family members. There will be a good deal of washing to do, judging by the number of soggy plastic bags of belongings.

The children were full of news about the wonderful time they have had and clearly proud of themselves for coping with new experiences including, for many, being away from parents for the first time. We are very proud of them, too!
