Carroty Wood 2024 Day 3

As predicted, the children slept well and a number needed to be woken up to make sure they were in time for breakfast! This time, groups had an early start on BMX, High Ropes, Rafting and Abseiling, just as the rest of school were settling into class.

After morning break, the whole year group came together to work in teams to build dens in the woods. Their brief was to make a den big enough for all children in the group to fit into and shelter from the rain. The weather obliged first by reminding them that a suitable shelter is important in heavy rain and then by cheering up to make the process of den building even more enjoyable!

When lunch was over, everyone was ready for two more activities, some muddier than others. The photos show how much the children are enjoying the company of their friends.

In the lodges, the children are enjoying craft activities and games. Miss Kenward has set children going on a crotchet craze. We look forward to seeing creations to rival Tom Daley's! This evening, it will be Hornbeam's turn to swim and Woodland's to tackle Miss Valentine's quiz. Lots of fun all round.
