In celebration of Black History Month this October, Year 5 have been sharing stories about inspirational black figures. 

We looked at the work of American artist Amy Sherald and though about how she presents her subjects plainly and honestly.

The children created portraits, in a similar style, of a friend, family member, celebrity or sports person they admire.
