Teddy Bears Picnic and Bedtime Stories

Reception had a very busy day on Monday! The children brought their teddy bears into school as part of our 'Bears' topic, and enjoyed making and eating honey sandwiches at their weekly forest school session. 'They taste delicious!' was the verdict from one happy child! The children also modelled their own clay bears whilst outside in the Spinney, taking care to think about all the different features of their bear. Later on, they came back into school in their pyjamas, with their teddies, for our Bedtime Stories event! Parents and carers joined the PoA for a cup of tea in the hall while the children found that their classroom had been transformed into a cosy den complete with fairy lights and multiple beanbags. We all had a wonderful time sharing teddy bear themed stories and songs together.
