Astronaut Training Day 2025

On Monday in Year 5 we trained as astronauts! Children came dressed in amazing costumes with some very sparkly and impressive outfits.

First we completed some physical training using the gym equipment. Later in the day we designed our own Mars rovers and worked as a team to construct a lunar probe.

We learned how astronauts eat in an environment with no strong gravity and made our own food using dried food that we added water to.

We also learned how the force of air being expelled from a balloon can generate enough thrust to power a small rocket.
