Artwork For Waitrose

In Art and Design the first half of this Autumn Term at Aldrington CE Primary School, Year 2 children focused on painting and colour mixing. They learned about Paul Signac who helped develop the painting technique Pointillism in which small, distinct dots of colour are applied in patterns to form an image. This tied into their topic on fire and ice. The Year 4 children developed their drawing and sketching techniques in learning about Frida Kahlo and drawing their own self-portraits with a focus on using water colours to create different tones and colours.
We are excited to share some of the children's artwork with the local community and thank Waitrose for giving us this opportunity by putting up some of our children's artwork in the cafe area.
